UGC Part Time Research Associateship for Women

UGC Part Time Research Associateship for Women was launched with the intention of enabling non-working women, holding PhD degrees an opportunity to follow research work.

These women should essentially be women of merit in their respective fields of study, who have not been able to do any research due to exceptional circumstances.

Eligibility, Duration and other Details for UGC Part Time Research Associateship for Women

The women candidates should have a PhD with a good academic record. They should have published their research paper and should have 60% marks in post graduation and 55% marks in graduation. They should not be more than the age of 50 years.

One hundred UGC Part Time Research Associateships for Women are granted for a period of five years.

The application for UGC Part Time Research Associateships scheme typed on plain paper with details like name, field of study, address etc should be sent to University Grants Commission (Selection & Award Bureau), South Campus, Delhi University within the fixed date with a passport size photograph and educational achievements.

Amount of UGC Part Time Research Associateships India

• For candidates who have no research experience, the grant is Rs.6,000/- per month
• For candidates having a research experience of 5 years, the grant is Rs.8, 000/ per month subject to recommendation by a committee of experts
• A yearly contingency allowance of Rs.10, 000/- for the entire period of 5 years is given
• A departmental assistance allowance of 10% of the associateship grant is given to the institute or university where the research work is carried out.
• House Rent Allowance (HRA) is not provided under the Scheme
• A fixed allowance of Rs.1, 000/- per month is earmarked for disabled women candidates.
