Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Scholarships

Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, established in 15th October, 1970 as an autonomous organization registered under the Societies Registration Act for the development and promotion of Sanskrit all over the country, is fully funded by Government of India.

It works as an apex body for propagation and development of Sanskrit and assists the Ministry of Human Resource Development in formulating and implementing various plans and schemes for the development of Sanskrit studies. It awards scholarships which are known as Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Scholarships.

Details of the Scholarships

There are 2 categories of scholarships granted by the RSS to candidates. Under the first category, scholarships are awarded to the students enrolled in the Vidyapeethas. The fund for these scholarships is allotted from provisions made in the annual financial budgets of each of these Vidyapeethas.

• Research Scholarships for students who are enrolled in Pathshalas
• Post Matriculation Scholarships to students for taking up B.A., M.A. and Ph.D courses in conventional subjects.

Application Process

Applications for Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Scholarship in the Performa formulated by the RSS should be sent to the Vice-Chancellor at the following address along with duly attested copies of mark sheets of relevant examinations. The applications should be sent through the Head of the institution or the Registrar of the University.
