Under Nehru Centenary British Fellowships / scholarship scheme, candidates are sent to the United Kingdom to pursue higher studies or conduct research in subjects like Energy Conservation, Small Business Development, English Language, Economics and International Relations.
Eligibility, Duration and other Details
The candidates should be Indian nationals and not more than 34 years. Two years' relaxation is given SC/ST candidates. They have a good academic record and post graduation in the relevant field of study. The candidates should stay at least two years after returning from United Kingdom and have a good knowledge in the geography, culture and heritage of the United Kingdom.
Nehru Centenary British Fellowships India is offered to 15 candidates for a period of Three years on account of Tuition fees, staying & living expenses and International air fare. The notification for the scholarship is published in leading newspaper in December every year. The application for Nehru Centenary British Fellowships scheme typed on plain paper with details like name, field of study, address etc should be sent to Director (Scholarship), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Education, External Scholarship, within the fixed date.
