Indian Council of Agricultural Research National Talent Scholarships

Indian Council of Agricultural Research, set up for promoting agricultural research in the country, awards National Talent Scholarships which is known as Indian Council of Agricultural Research National Talent Scholarships.

230 students are awarded financial supports under the National Talent Scholarships scheme on the basis of their ranking in an All India Entrance Examination. The entrance examination is held to fill up 15% of seats in State Agricultural Universities and Central Agricultural University, Imphal. Seats are also filled up in other institutes offering courses in Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries Science, Forestry, Home Science, Sericulture, Agriculture Engineering and Dairy Technology on the basis of this entrance exam.

Eligibility for Indian Council of Agricultural Research National Talent Scholarships

• The candidates should be between the age of 17 & 23 years and there is no relaxation
• The candidates should be Indian nationals.
• The candidates of the general category should have obtained a minimum of 60% of the total marks in either Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics Chemistry
• Mathematics or Physics Chemistry Agriculture in the 10+ 2 examinations
• Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates should have attained a minimum of 50 % of the total marks in either Physics Chemistry Biology or
• Physics Chemistry Mathematics or Physics Chemistry Agriculture in the 10+ 2 examinations

Value of the scholarship

The candidates are offered financial support of Rs 8, 00 per month under the National Talent Scholarship scheme.
