France Government Scholarships from External Scholarship Division MHRD, India

France Government Scholarship is granted to interested and meritorious students from the External Scholarships Division of the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India. This Department focuses on arranging a large number of international scholarships to Indian students from foreign governments. France Government Scholarship is offered in subjects like Economics and Political Science.

Eligibility for France Government Scholarships

• The students should have a consistently good academic background with a minimum of 60% marks in post-graduation in concerned subject.
• Students who have a good knowledge of the French language and those who have been invited by an institute in France are given preference. In this case the student must submit supporting documentary evidence along with the application.
• The students will have to reside in India for 2 years in succession after returning from France
• The students should have sound knowledge of France

Duration and Value of the scholarship

Two scholarships are offered for a period of one year. The candidates are offered a monthly financial support of 5, 400 France Francs. Air fare is also given to the candidates.

Application Process

The notification for the scholarship is published in leading newspapers and Employment News in April-May every year. The candidates are required to send in duly typed applications, on plain paper, along with attested copies of educational documents within the fixed date.
