China Govt. Scholarships from External Scholarship Division, MHRD, India

China Government Scholarship is granted to meritorious students from the External Scholarships Division of the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Govt. of India. This Department focuses in arranging for a large number of international scholarships to Indian students from foreign governments.

China Government Scholarships India are offered for post graduate and doctoral studies in subjects like Chinese language & literature, Fine Arts, Economics, History, Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Bio-technology, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Environment Science, Plant Breeding & Genetics, Fisheries and Political Science.

Eligibility, Duration and Other Details

The candidates should be Indian nationals and below 40 years. There is two years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates. They have a certificate or diploma in basic Chinese language from a recognized institute instate. Candidates should have at least 60% marks in Bachelor of Fine Arts and 60% marks at post graduate level for other subjects. Chinese government scholarship is awarded for a period of 1 to 2 years.

Chinese government scholarship is provided by the Indian Government on account of boarding and lodging, fees for tuition and other daily expenses. This scholarship is offered to 25 candidates. The notification is published in leading newspaper in February/March and the academic session begins in September.
