Enquire NowThe Austrian Government Scholarship is granted to interested and meritorious students from the External Scholarships Division of the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India.
This Department focuses on arranging for a large number of international scholarships to Indian students from foreign governments. The Austrian Government Scholarships are offered in subjects like Tourism Management, Research in Archaeology, Austrian Literature, History, Philosophy and Theology Minerology i.e. Mineral Exploration, Petroleum Technology etc.
Duration of the Austrian Government Scholarships
Research in Archaeology, Austrian Literature, History, Philosophy and Theology - 9 months. Minerology - 9 months. Tourism Management - Short Term
Eligibility for the Austria Government Scholarship Scheme
- The candidates should be between the age of 22 and 30 years.
- The candidates should have a master degree in the concerned subject with 60% marks.
- The candidate should have 2 uninterrupted years of experience in teaching or research which he /she should have acquired after having acquired the required qualification.
- If the candidate has an MPhill degree holder, his or her MPhill Degree will be considered as one year of teaching.
- The candidates should have a fair knowledge of English language and about Austria
Value of the Austria Government Scholarship
Tourism Management: The scholarships cover registration fees, expenses incurred for medical inspection, tuition fees, food and beverage expenses, rent for accommodation, health insurance, excursion allowance and expenses incurred for the final examination. The passage fare to Austria and back is required to be paid either by the employer or the candidate or the sponsors.
Research Subjects: The scholarship includes a grant of Austrian Schillings of 6, 800 and a book allowance of Austrian Schillings of 1,000 each semester
Mineralogy: The scholarship includes a grant of Austrian Schillings 6,800 per month for post graduate students and a grant of Austrian Schillings 8,000 per month for Assistant Professors. The allowances also cover health insurance, university fees, cost of books and rent for accommodation. The financial assistance is for one person and no allowances are given for spouse or relatives.
