Enquire NowBirla Institute of Technology situated in ideal place of Ranchi, Jharkhand. It was started in the year 1979. The Institute first started a Centre for Continuing Education at Lalpur in Ranchi, initially with part-time postgraduate M.F. courses in the disciplines f Mechanical.
Civil. Electrical and Electronics Engineering, for the benefit of officers working in various Ranchi based public sector undertakings and private industries such as, MECON, SAIL, HEC, CIL, CMPD1. SBL, UMIL., nationalized banks, etc, who wished to upgrade their qualifications. In 1997 the started the full time courses, B.Sc. Computer Science and B.Sc. Electronics courses for girls, and in 1998 the BCA course also for girls only. Currently the Lalpur Extension Centre has over 1768 students on its rolls of which almost 560 are post graduate students.It is fully residential, providing accommodation to approx. 3200 undergraduate and postgraduate students and 2000 members of the faculty and staff. The buildings, which include lecture halls, research laboratories, workshops, library etc. cover an area exceeding 3,50,000 sq. ft. It has co-educational facilities with separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls.

The printout of the filled form alongwith the prescribed fees of Rs. 1000/-(Rs. 500/- for female candidates) should be sent to Admissions officer, BITS, Pilani - 333 031.
