IELTS in New Zealand

The International English Language Testing System is known as IELTS in short and designed to evaluate the language ability of aspirants who want to study or work where English is the language of communication.

It is jointly run by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL), British Council & IDP IELTS Australia. It covers the four language skills - reading, writing, listening & speaking. All candidates wishing to study in New Zealand take the same listening and speaking modules.

Several English language learners need IELTS to pursue academic or non-academic training in any country except your own. IELTS is recognized by universities & employers in many countries, such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK & the USA. IELTS is also recognized by professional bodies, immigration authorities and other government agencies all over the world. You have to score higher in IELTS for study in New Zealand.

IELTS requirement for study in New Zealand - You must take IELTS if you want to get entry into any of colleges and universities of New Zealand. There are some exceptions in IELTS requirements such as if you have been proved that you have taught in English medium at higher school level for at least two years. A minimum IELTS point for study in New Zealand is 6.5. Study in New Zealand without IELTS is possible.

You have to appear an English prophecy test such as TOEFL. But most of educational institutes of New Zealand prefer IELTS. So, prepare for IELTS for study in New Zealand and try to get the minimum IELTS point.
