Medical Entrance Exam in Chandigarh

Punjab Medical Entrance Test (PMET) and PUCET (Punjab University Common entrance test) are the two most important entrance examinations in Chandigarh. PMET entrance examination is conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences for the admission in medical and dental courses MBBS, BAMS, BHMS and BDS offered by various medical colleges in Punjab.

There are twenty medical and dental colleges in Punjab in which admission can be possible through the Punjab medical entrance examination. Aspiring students can get admission by qualifying the entrance examination. But the competition is really very tough and many students are very eager for admission in recognized colleges of Punjab.

Eligibility :

The candidates should have passed 12th examination with Chemistry, Physics and Biology and English with 50% marks from the recognized board. SC/ST Candidates can get the relaxation up to only 40% marks. The final year students can also appear in the entrance examination. The candidates should be an Indian citizen and they should have at least 17 years of age. Those students are in final year of 12th examination, can apply for this entrance examination.
