Indian School of Mines University - ISMU

Indian School of Mines University (ISMU) was established in 1926 and is a premier institution of international repute. After successfully offering M.Tech. degree in Industrial Engineering and Management since 1977, ISMU has launched its AICTE approved MBA program under the Department of Management Studies in 1997. The Department of Management has been perpetually ranked among the prima business schools of the nation by agencies of honor like AIMA-BS Survey, Business India, and the Telegraph etc. Candidates for admission in ISMU are shortlisted on the basis of their CAT scores.

Eligibility :

A candidate should have a 3 years bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognized institute with atleast 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/Differently able candidates) or equivalent CGPA. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply.

Selection Procedure :

ISMU uses CAT scores for shortlisting candidates for its MBA Program. The shortlisted candidates are then called for Personal Interview and General Discussion after which the final selections are made. There are a total of 62 seats for MBA in ISMU.

Application Form :

The forms for IMI will be available from October from ISMU. The form can be obtained by post from ISMU, Dhanbad by sending a Demand Draft in favor of Registrar, ISM University and payable at Dhanbad of Rs. 1500 (Rs. 750 for SC/ST candidates) along with the request for form addressed to the Assistant Registrar (Academic), Indian School of Mines University, Dhanbad. Candidates can also download the form through the website www.ismdhanbad.ac.in and send it along with the demand draft.
