Bhagwant University is a classic example of success of a small entity growing into a large university with the persistent endeavors of the founding fathers. The University is owned by the Bhagwant Group of Institutions which had their first institute in 1999 as the Bhagwant Institute of Technology, Bijnore.

Ever since then more institutes have been successfully added to the university to make it an excellent place of undergraduate and higher learning. The Bhagwant University courses taught to the students in the various institutes of the university are of outstanding quality, which is leading the University in gaining fair reputation in the State. The Bhagwant Institute of Technology, Muzaffarnagar affiliated to U.P. Technical University, approved by AICTE and enjoys the status of being an ISO certified institution. A notable milestone was achieved in the year 2004 with the setting by Bhagwant Institute of Technology, Bijnore of Ajmer Institute of Technology, Ajmer in the State of Rajasthan. Affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University, Kota and approved by AICTE, the institute has excellent faculty and study environment.

It has been successfully running Technical and Professional courses such as B.Tech. in E ECE, EE, CSE, IT, ME, and Civil Engineering, MBA. All Bhagwant university faculties teaching these courses have been drawn from the experts in the given fields. It was established in 2002 to provide higher education in the field of B.Ed. & B.P. Ed. The study programme has been approved by National Council for Teachers Education and is affiliated to CCS University, Meerut. Another feather in the cap of the University is the establishment of the Bhagwant Institute of Pharmacy, Bhagwantpuram, Muzzaffarnagar, UP. Bhagwant university exams are held periodically through the semester exams. Internal evaluations are done throughout the year by the faculty through projects and assignments. Bhagwant University results are the sum aggregate of the internal and the end semester exams. They are released on the university website and also posted on the department notice boards. One of the unique features of the Bhagwant University is the Placement Cell, which toils hard to place its students in the best companies and MNCs operating in the industry. Students after the completion of their courses find placements in reputed multinationals in the private sector, government jobs and the NGO's.

The admissions to the B.Tech course offered by the University are carried out by CCB through Entrance Examination or the AIEEE . Some courses admissions is through the Entrance Examinations like ENAT, UJET, BUCET and others are held by the AIEEE, CAT, and MAT etc. are also. There is a certain percentage in the previous exams required to be obtained in the qualifying examination. The written exam and interview are conducted by the University.
